Most of the stories that I’ve read seem to be reflective. The authors took up the voice of an adult looking back into the past. For some of them, the resentment had faded out but for others… you could still feel their frustration. Let’s review… Discourse? It’s basically a social practice. A way of communication that goes beyond the simple act of speaking and delves into the presentation and mannerisms that accompany language.
